Celts deny Arzani loan deal is about to be scrapped

-

CELTIC have dismissed a report in Australia claiming Daniel Arzani could see his loan move scrapped by December if he fails to break into the first team. The 19-year-old Aussie, who came on as a sub for his country in the final 25 minutes of last night’s 4-0 friendly win over Kuwait, is two months into a two-year loan from Manchester City. It was claimed in his homeland that Arzani — who has only featured for the Celtic reserves so far — has a clause in his deal that could see him return to the English Premier League champions if he doesn’t claim a place in Brendan Rodgers’ plans. However, sources close to Celtic are adamant that will not be happening. Arzani’s Parkhead colleague and fellow Australian Tom Rogic was on target in Kuwait City, netting the third goal in their country’s victory.
