United front
AS AN old friend and colleague of Theresa May from the days when we were councillors on the London Borough of Merton, I have followed her career with great interest.
Theresa was always upfront, stubborn and ready to fight for what she believed was the best for her constituents, regardless of her own views. I see nothing has changed.
I despair of career politicians who seem to be more interested in advancement of their personal views, regardless of whether they are what the public voted for.
We need to untie our Prime Minister’s hands. Yes, it may not be the perfect solution on the table, but unless we are prepared to back a hard Brexit, she needs room to manoeuvre without her own colleagues plotting to replace her.
I would respectfully request that all our MPs follow the will of the people and show a united front to the EU.
