No faith in Government

-

I MUST commiserate with Gordon Ramsay (Mail) about his heartbreak over his son and other children having left home for university.

At least the Ramsay children are able to go home at recess, and Gordon and Tana can see their offspring at any time they fancy a jaunt to Exeter, Oxford or London.

I have one son, an only child. He divorced his childhood sweetheart (an EU citizen) last year after she deserted him.

The Home Office decreed that he had to leave the UK and return to the country of his birth.

My son is a moral, upright citizen. He had a job he loved, a home and a car – and had to leave it all behind to go to a country where he has no home, no support and where 54 people are, on average, murdered daily.

I don’t know if I will ever see him again. I am bereft and have lost my faith in this Government which, incidentally, I voted for as I am a British citizen.

The Home Office official added insult to injury by saying: ‘Well, you can Skype him, you know.’
