RICCARDO Tisci joined Burberry in March to lead its design team after spending 12 years as creative director at Givenchy.
The London Central Saint Martins graduate was a surprise choice after months of speculation over who would replace Christopher Bailey.
Born in Taranto, Italy, Tisci was raised a Catholic with his eight sisters.
Givenchy became a red carpet favourite under his leadership, and he designed outfits for Rihanna, Madonna and Beyonce, as well as reality TV star Kim Kardashian’s wedding dress when she married rapper Kanye West.
