Diana’s ‘One’ steps out with fiancee

PRINCESS DIANA called him ‘The One’, assuring a friend: ‘He has given me all the things I need.’ But has Punjab-born heart surgeon Hasnat Khan, 60, married his much younger fiancee, Somi Sohail?

The couple were pictured at the Chain Of Hope charity ball. Somi now opts to be known as Somi Khan, suggesting they may have already married.

Diana, who met Khan in 1995, so longed to become his wife that she contemplated converting to Islam. Khan loved her too and frequently visited her at Kensington Palace, where he was known as ‘Natty’, but ended their relationship when he realised they were from ‘two different planets’.
