AIR YOUR GREENHOUSE

-

LOW temperatures coupled with high humidity are bad for almost all greenhouse plants. So when skies are dull, keep the air in your greenhouse as fresh as possible. When daytime temperatures are high enough, open vents for an hour in the middle of the day and close them well before sunset, so heat can build up before nightfall. An electric fan can also help to circulate air. High humidity increases grey mould or botrytis. Whenever you see leaves or parts of plants infected with the mould, remove them for composting. Water plants only when absolutely necessary.
