Expect a rusty Arthur

- MARCUS TOWNEND

TRAINER Lucinda Russell admits One For Arthur will be ring-rusty as he returns at Aintree today after 609 days for the first of two prep races ahead of trying to win the Grand National for a second time. A tendon injury has stopped One For Arthur running since he beat Cause Of Causes in the 2017 National. He faces three opponents, headed by Charlie Hall Chase winner Definitly Red, in the Many Clouds Chase. Regular jockey Derek Fox is sidelined after a back operation, so Tom Scudamore takes over. Russell said: ‘One For Arthur will improve for the run but it is a matter of getting match practice into him.’
