Flack: I was depressed after I won show

PRESENTER Caroline Flack has revealed that her battle with depression began the morning after she won Strictly Come Dancing.

The Love Island host, 9, triumphed in 2014 and said: ‘It all started the day after I won Strictly. I woke and felt like somebody had covered my body in clingfilm.

‘I couldn’t get up and just couldn’t pick myself up at all that next year. I felt ridiculous, being so sad when I’d just won the biggest show on telly and had such an amazing job.

‘People see the celebrity lifestyle and assume everything is perfect, but fame doesn’t make you happy.’

She told The Sun On Sunday antidepressants helped her but she came off them after six months, because she believed ‘feeling something was better than feeling nothing at all’.
