Still sparkling, it’s golden girl Barbara, 81
SMILING broadly as she leaves a star-studded party, Dame Barbara Windsor still has plenty of her famous sparkle.
Her rare public appearance comes after her husband Scott Mitchell revealed she has Alzheimer’s disease and struggles to remember their 25-year relationship. But the former EastEnders star, 81, was in good spirits as she left the London Evening Standard Christmas party wearing a gold jacket and matching top with her hair in a trademark bun.
She spent Friday evening rubbing shoulders with fellow guests including Elizabeth Hurley, Sir Mick Jagger and Robbie Williams in north London.
In May, Mr Mitchell, 55, said: ‘When I tell her we’ve been together 25 years and married for 18, she says “But I have no recollection of it”.’ The former actor now writes key facts about their lives on a whiteboard at home to stop his wife getting confused.
