Lady Colin poised to pen Meghan muckraker

-

There’s another headache for the Duchess of sussex, who has to put up with regular embarrassing outbursts from her father, Thomas Markle.

Friends of royal author Lady Colin Campbell say they fear she is lining up Meghan as her next subject.

Lady Colin, who found fame on TV reality show I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of here!, has form when it comes to muck-raking.

she wrote an unauthorised book, Diana In Private, which made shocking claims that later proved to be true, including Princess Diana’s struggle with bulimia and her affair with James hewitt. Andrew Morton’s Diana: her True story was published several months after Lady Colin’s book in 1992.

Lady Colin is understandably coy about the matter. ‘I am writing a new book but I am not prepared to discuss what it is about yet,’ she says. ‘The thing about Meghan Markle is that it is a developing story . There is a lot more about her to come out yet.’

The Duchess of sussex might be concerned to hear that Lady Colin has formed a close friendship with her nephew Tyler Dooley, a cannabis farmer from Oregon, where the drug is legal.

Indeed, Lady Colin has even been for a couple of nights out on the town with Dooley. ‘We met through my sons and the MTV show The royal World and hit it off straight away,’ says Jamaica-born Lady Colin, who is divorced from Lord Colin Campbell, son of the 11th Duke of Argyll. ‘he’s a very nice boy.’

Dooley, the son of Tracy Dooley and Meghan’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jr, launched a new marijuana strain, Markle sparkle, in honour of the royal wedding.

‘I have talked to Tyler about Meghan and he doesn’t want to trash her, but there is a good story to be had about Tyler and his connection to Meghan,’ says Lady Colin.

‘I have got my sources, but through Tyler I found out that the dynamics of the Markle family are absolutely fascinating. Yes, far more than what’s been revealed so far.’
