All is calm... on Xmas cards at least

-

THEY may be facing political turmoil at the moment – but at least the party leaders’ Christmas cards are peaceful.

Theresa May has chosen a tranquil scene of snow falling around a glowing Christmas tree for her festive message (pictured) with a design by nine-year-old Dexter Van Elkan from her Maidenhead constituency.

Jeremy Corbyn picked a photo of his cat, far right, for the front of his card. El Gato – Spanish for ‘cat’ – is shown curled up in front of a roaring fire on the rug of the Opposition leader’s living room.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon’s Christmas card features a picture of the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow, taken by renowned photographer Harry Benson, 8 .

The photo will be auctioned next year in aid of four charities picked by Miss Sturgeon and Mr Benson.
