Shona’s missing moggy back... after four years

-

WHEN Sam the tabby cat went missing in 2014, his devoted owner never doubted that he would eventually return.

Now, four years after he wandered off from Shona Macphail’s island home, the adventurous pet has finally been reunited with his family.

Workers at a factory on the Isle of Lewis contacted animal charity the Scottish SPCA after Sam visited them repeatedly over three months.

Miss Macphail wrote on social media: ‘We never doubted he wasn’t OK for a minute. Been getting very well fed by the lovely folk at Arnish factory for the last few months. What he was up to before that is anyone’s guess!

‘Lovely to get you back Sam. We’re all overwhelmed but Sam isn’t fazed at all. He’s twice the size he was. Amazing.’

Scottish SPCA inspector Maggie Adkins said: ‘It’s a lovely early Christmas present for Shona and her family.’
