Fresh appeal for missing 90-year-old

-

THE granddaughter of a missing 90-year-old made a fresh appeal for help to trace him last night as the extreme winter weather swept in.

Fears are mounting for dementia sufferer William Scott, who went missing from his home in Chesser, Edinburgh, on Tuesday. He was last seen at the Foot of the Walk pub in Leith, and at a nearby Greggs bakery.

Yesterday his granddaughter Charlotte Gibson said: ‘It’s been three nights now and for someone of 90 years of age who is 5ft, a tiny little thing, it’s not ideal for him to be out in this. The snow is coming. We need to find him.’

Police have urged members of the public to check garages and sheds in case Mr Scott has taken shelter there.
