It’s a jungle out there in social media land

EMILY Atack, pictured, runner up in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… has clearly been given a new perspective on her social media image after fending off bugs in the jungle and listening to Harry Redknapp talking about his wife. ‘I will never EVER use a slimming app ever again,’ she wrote. ‘We are all different sizes. We are all unique.’ How refreshing to hear a member of the Instagram generation talk in such a way, given that so many young women in the public eye these days use filters and apps to make them look like perfect, glossy little aliens. Perhaps more of them should start appearing on telly without a scrap of makeup – these days it’s the only way to know what somebody actually looks like.
