I never slept with Weinstein, fumes Hollywood’s J-Law
ACTRESS Jennifer Lawrence looks solemn after being forced to deny claims she had sex with disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.
The Oscar-winner, 28, was seen in New York on Saturday, wearing a yellow coat and corduroy hat to keep out the cold weather.
Weinstein allegedly boasted about sleeping with Miss Lawrence as he sexually assaulted another woman.
A lawsuit filed by an unidentified woman claims Weinstein, 66, bragged about sleeping with the American star. It claims he said: ‘I slept with Jennifer Lawrence and look where she is; she has just won an Oscar.’
Miss Lawrence said: ‘My heart breaks for all the women who were victimised by Harvey Weinstein... I have never had anything but a professional relationship with him. This is yet another example of the predatory tactics and lies that he engaged in to lure countless women.’
Weinstein denied the claims in the lawsuit, with his lawyer insisting he had a ‘respectful’ relationship with Miss Lawrence. The pair were pictured together at a charity event in 2013 promoting Silver Linings Playbook, the movie which earned Miss Lawrence a best actress Oscar.
According to the documents, the unnamed woman alleged Weinstein performed several sex acts and threatened to harm her career if she objected. The incidents allegedly took place at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013 in Utah and months later in New York City.
The woman, who was then an aspiring actress, is one of dozens of women who allege that Weinstein harassed, assaulted or raped them. He has denied all accusations of nonconsensual sex.
