Time for a last tally-ho for fox hunts with dogs

-

BACK in 2002, fox hunting was banned in Scotland. Yet an exemption still allows dogs to be used to flush out foxes for pest control or protecting livestock.

Not for much longer. Laws to tighten the ban on fox hunting, right, by limiting the number of dogs to two are being brought forward by the Scottish Government.

I find this baffling. Surely two dogs would be ineffective, that’s why a pack is used in the first place. If the Government is really serious about ending fox hunting (and it should be), why not go the whole hog and ban dogs entirely?
