French protests take toll

FRENCH yellow-vest protesters have hit business at Cartier owner Richemont.

The Swiss luxury goods firm said demonstrations in Paris over high living costs had impacted tourism and forced it to shut stores in the city for six consecutive Saturdays.

Sales rose 5pc in the last three months of the year, compared with 8pc in the six months to September-end.
