Workers’ pension woe

STEELWORKERS conned out of their pensions by a rogue firm will get no compensation to cover future fees. Active Wealth advised workers in Port Talbot, South Wales, to pull out of the British Steel retirement scheme and invest in risky funds. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme is repaying some of their costs but said the employees won’t get compensation to pay ongoing charges from whoever looks after their cash in future.
