Payday delays

TOP Government contractors took more than six weeks to pay their suppliers in 2017, a rise of 11pc compared with two years before.

Suppliers now have to wait an average of 43 days to be paid, according to research from Funding Options, which analysed the annual reports of the Government’s top 10 contractors by turnover. This included firms such as Capita, Serco and Interserve.
