WATSON INJURY FEAR AHEAD OF SIX NATIONS
HAMISH WATSON could be a doubt for the start of the Six Nations after suffering a suspected hand injury last night. The highly-rated Scotland flanker, a regular starter for national head coach Gregor Townsend, was forced from the field just before the 30-minute mark of Edinburgh’s Heineken Champions Cup clash against Montpellier. Former Scotland international Peter Wright, who was commentating on the game, said: ‘It looks as if he’s caught his left hand. I wonder if he’s dislocated a finger or broken a finger? At this time of the season, that’s an absolute nightmare.’
