Polworth fighting to be fit for cup showdown
JOHN ROBERTSON is prepared to wait until the last possible moment to decide on Liam Polworth’s involvement in tonight’s Scottish Cup showdown with Ross County. The Caley Thistle midfield mainstay missed Saturday’s unimpressive defeat away to Dunfermline after injuring his knee in training the day before. Inverness are aiming to triumph in tonight’s fifth-round replay after last week’s 2-2 draw in Dingwall and seal a quarter-final tie at Championship rivals Dundee United. Caley Thistle boss Robertson said: ‘We’re still waiting on Liam Polworth. We’ll give him every opportunity, right up until kick-off, to see if he is available. We’re hopeful.’
