Partner of missing man: Please come back home

- By Raja Sharma

THE distraught partner of a young father who vanished four days ago has issued an emotional plea for him to come home.

Ross Taylor left his house on Sunday without money, phone or his car and has not been seen since.

The 30-year-old’s disappearance is said to be ‘totally out of character’ and has sparked major searches near his home in Dalkeith, Midlothian.

Yesterday, cradling their six-month-old baby Lewis, his partner Laura D’Arcy said: ‘Ross, if you hear this, we love you and we miss you too much. Please just come back to us, you know how much we need you.’

Mr Taylor, pictured, works at energy firm SSE. Security camera footage of him leaving his home appeared to show him agitated and clenching his fists together.

The couple have three children, Liam, eight, Jessica, six, and Lewis, who was born with a serious heart defect and underwent surgery in January.

Miss D’Arcy, 30, said: ‘I would like to ask the public to keep searching for Ross. If they have seen Ross, then please contact the police with any information to get him home.’

She added: ‘I’d also like to thank everyone who has helped us. The people walking in through my door, complete strangers who are doing whatever they can to help us. It does mean so much to us.’

While no explanation was given for Mr Taylor’s disappearance, police said that it was a ‘stressful’ time for the family.

Chief Inspector Arron Clinkscales, the area police commander for Midlothian, said: ‘It is imperative we find him as soon as possible.’
