Op saves dog after it ate video game

-

A DOG needed emergency surgery after swallowing a video game cartridge.

Owners Sean Johnston, 27, and Rebecca Moss, 29, knew something was wrong when four-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier Rocco started vomiting and refused to eat.

So the Glasgow couple took him to the PDSA’s Shamrock Street Pet Hospital.

Vets were stunned when X-rays showed the rectangular shape in his gut. They then removed a well-worn Nintendo DS game lodged in the rescue dog’s small intestine.

Rocco is now back at home and Mr Johnston said: ‘He’s made a brilliant recovery.’
