Brexit carousel

-

SO HERE we go again. The carousel starts up and the same old music begins to play.

How is it that the 27 leaders of the other EU countries can reach a decision about Brexit within hours, and our lot in that bedlam we call Parliament plot to use this extension of the Brexit deadline until October to continue playing the game of party and personal advantage?

Theresa May is the one politician who deserves respect, but if her departure will bring the Conservatives together to resolve this mess and allow us to leave the EU with what remains of our tattered dignity, then so be it. KEN SHARP, Newark-on-Trent, Notts. WELL, it looks as though the latest show in town, ‘Brexit the Musical’ will be out before we are.

It will feature a new approach to comedy with a cast constantly changing from one performance to the next.

Based on the party favourite, ‘The Hokey Cokey’, it features the actions of a group of children passing themselves off as adults who can never make their minds up.

Early critics are so enthralled with this theme they are holding a preview in Brussels before the show returns to the West End for the Christmas Panto season.

Will the initial cast last the pace? Who knows –all that ‘in and out’ action will take its toll on both cast and audience. GRAHAM WYLLIE, Greengairs,
