Litter-picking heroes

THE Mail’s support for Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean is fantastic. As soon as I arrive in the UK and get on the National Express coach at Heathrow to travel on the M3 to Southampton, I am confronted with miles of litter.

I never thought I would see the day when 536,500 volunteers would sign up to clear up the mess.
