Here she goes again...

-

WHETHER boris Johnson makes brexit happen with or without a deal, nicola Sturgeon seems determined to use it to justify calling for a second independence referendum.

yet if she had got her way in the first referendum in 2014, Scotland would already be outside of the EU, with no certainty over how long it would take for us to meet the EU’s joining criteria.

When will Miss Sturgeon admit that leaving the UK will be many times more difficult than brexit, with far deeper repercussions, and that she can give no guarantees over when and on what terms Scotland would be able to rejoin the EU?

KEITH HOWELL, West Linton, Peeblesshire.

THE echo from the announcement of boris Johnson’s elevation to party leader had barely died down before nicola Sturgeon got her tuppence worth of disdain aired to the public.

Referring to Mr Johnson as ‘a charlatan who had no political principles beyond advancing his own self-interest’ is a bit rich — has Miss Sturgeon been looking in the independence mirror again?

GRAHAM WYLLIE, Greengairs, Lanarkshire.

NICOLA Sturgeon claims the ‘vast majority’ of Scots are concerned about boris Johnson’s win.

How does she know this? What is perhaps far more obvious is that the vast majority of Scots are extremely concerned over nicola Sturgeon’s stewardship of Scotland. the problems for Scotland lie far closer to home, and calling for Indyref 2 at the drop of a hat shows extreme lack of foresight or concern for the welfare of the country she professes to love.
