FEELGOOD BIOPIC Bohemian Rhapsody, 8pm, Sky Premiere OSCAR-WINNER Rami Malek (pictured) is mind-blowingly good as Freddie Mercury in this affectiona­te biopic of the Queen lead singer. resplenden­t with the band’s famous songs. DARK PAST The Ghosts Of The Third Reich, 9pm, PBS America THIS poignant new documentar­y hears from Nazis’ descendant­s, such as Bettina Goering, the grandniece of Hermann. They talk movingly about trying to balance positive memories of family with the facts of war crimes, and some come together with Holocaust victims to talk. STRANGE TALE ALE Temple, 9pm, Sky One THE dodgy doctor spends part two of Sky’s shady drama looking for ex-lover Anna (Game Of Thrones’s Carice van Houten, pictured),ured) who — understand­ably — doesn’t want to speak to him after he stole her blood. And his justificat­ion for doing so, which we glimpsed at the end of last week’s opener, will require a whole lot more explanatio­n. VICTIMS’ TESTIMONY Surviving R. Kelly, 9pm, Lifetime WOMEN who came into the orbit of singer R. Kelly and thought they were ‘going to be stars’ tell stories of sexual abuse — all of which he denies — in the first of a sad but wellproduc­ed series that had a big impact in the U.S. Backing singer Jovante was just 14 when she met Kelly. FREEVIEW MOVIE There Will Be Blood, 9pm, Paramount DANIEL DAY-LEWIS won another Oscar for his portrayal of Daniel Plainview, a mercurial oilman, in this magnificen­t drama from Paul Thomas Anderson. It charts Plainview’s singular determinat­ion to make his way in oil-hungry early-1900s America. (Freeview 54, Freesat 132, Sky 153, Virgin 188) POLICE PROCEDURAL Criminal, Netflix NETFLIX’S new drama is an acting showcase, with eacheac episodeepo­de built around a tense interview between detectives and a suspect. The UK stretch of this European show — also set in France, Germany and Spain — has David Tennant (pictured) as a buttoned-down doctor and a riveting Hayley Atwell as a particular­ly fiery murder suspect. INDIAN DRAMA The Family Man, Amazon Prime SRIKANT TIWARI is a man who resents his wife asking him to drop the kids off at school, and whose daughter won’t accept his friend request on Facebook. He’s an oaf at home; thankfully, Srikant is a lot better at his job as a spy. It’s his work that this subtitled Indian drama primarily follows, while playing his incompeten­ce as a family man for laughs.
