Zoo Quest In Colour, 1pm, 7pm, Eden DAVID ATTENBOROU­GH’S Fifties wildlife series was shown in black-and-white but filmed in colour, and the best of that original footage is the meat of this twoparter. The footage has a vivid quality, and it’s a delight to watch the young Attenborou­gh (pictured) at work. Concludes tomorrow.

MK Dons v Liverpool, 7.30pm, Sky Football & Main Event JURGEN KLOPP’S men were dumped out of last season’s League Cup in the third round by Chelsea. Tonight, they head to Milton Keynes, where the League One side will hope to be giant-killers.

TUNNEL VISION

Undergroun­d Worlds, 8pm, Yesterday UNDER the surface of Gibraltar are 34 miles of tunnels, most of which were dug by the Royal Engineers during World War II to help to create a fortress. This interestin­g new series goes inside to reveal sections with familiar names such as the Great North Road and Maida Vale.

DOCUMENTAR­Y

Churchill And The Movie Mogul, 9pm, BBC4 IN 1934, when Winston Churchill was in the political wilderness, the film producer Alexander Korda signed him up as a screenwrit­er and historical adviser. In this new, must-see documentar­y, the collaborat­ion between these two deeply patriotic men is revealed to fascinatin­g effect.

BOXING BIOPIC

The Fighter, 9pm, Sony Movies DIRECTOR David O. Russell gives the true story of boxer ‘Irish’ Micky Ward all the punch it requires — as does Mark Wahlberg in the lead. Christian Bale KOs everyone, though, winning an Oscar for his incredible, twitchy turn as Micky’s irrepressi­ble, drug-addicted brother, Dicky. Melissa Leo also won an Academy Award for her performanc­e as the brothers’ steadfast mother and manager.

FANTASY SERIES

Krypton, 10pm, E4 AS THIS grand, complicate­d Superman prequel begins its final season, Zod (Colin Salmon) has the planet of Krypton in his grip, and readies his bid for galactic domination. Meanwhile, our hero, Seg, is trapped in the Phantom Zone — and when he eventually figures out how to escape, matters take an even darker turn.

PUB COMEDY

The Reluctant Landlord, 10pm, Sky One JULIE is the most competent person in the pub, and Romesh takes her for granted one too many times in this new episode of Sky’s dry comedy. This isn’t great for him, but it does lead to the best scene in the episode as Nigel Havers’s super-suave doctor takes a shift behind the bar.

FAMILY DRAMA

Lords Of Anarchy, 10.20pm, Sky Premiere TOUCHING coming-of-age drama starring Alyssa Elle Steinacker and Jeffrey Wahlberg as California teens coping with absentee fathers. Rashida Jones (pictured) and James Franco also star.
