LOOKING for an epic adventure, but don’t have the time to jet around the world? How about a travelling extravaganza of the New World; the Americas? This vast continent’s landscape is as diverse as its people, so you experience a huge range of cultures, sites and terrains in one holiday. From the evocative smells and senses of America’s sun-soaked Deep South to the majesty of Mother Nature’s creations in the Canadian Rockies, this land is made for exploring.

And with Cosmos, getting to the heart of a destination couldn’t be simpler. With 90 years under its belt in setting travellers’ imagination on fire, it is expert at connecting you with authentic trips that will create memories for a lifetime.

OLD SOUTH AND FLORIDA

STEEPED in history, the South is a must for any travel-tour bucket list. Kick-start the senses in New Orleans, and party in the streets and dine on Cajun cuisine until the sun comes up, before winding your way through iconic states including Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida.

History lovers will revel in the charm of New Orleans, with its rickety streetcars, and bedecked stately mansions calling you for a glass of iced tea in the shade. You’ll also get to travel back in time during your trip to St Augustine, the oldest city in the US.

After a trip to Baton Rouge, on the banks of the Mississippi, shake, rattle and roll your way to Memphis for a guided tour of Graceland, regal home of the King, Elvis himself. In Nashville, music fans can take in the sounds of Studio B, the oldest surviving recording studio, and walk among the glittering costumes down at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The tour ends in the Sunshine State of Florida, where you can try local delicacies: fresh lobster, key lime pie, perhaps even a plate of gator tails?

THE CANADIAN ROCKIES

EVEN the most seasoned travellers won’t be able to stop their jaw from dropping as they travel with Cosmos through the Canadian Rockies. From your air-conditioned motor coach, you’ll get unbeatable views of rugged mountains, gasp-worthy glaciers and rolling rivers – this is where nature trumps all. The tour includes a two-night stay in the vast Banff National Park, the oldest reserve in Canada and the gateway to the Rockies. There, you’ll be free to get back to basics in the most awe-inspiring setting, taking in hot springs and dipping in cool lakes before whiling away an evening around a campfire.

Then it’s on to Jasper National Park, where you can hike, before heading to the magical Lake and Spirit Island. Adrenaline junkies will get their fix with a ride on an Ice Explorer – a vehicle made to cut its way through the Columbia Ice field.

After getting back to nature, it’s time to swap country living for city slicking with time to explore the delights of Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria.

You really will get the best of both worlds in the New World.
