Everton are keeping tabs on Accies kid
EVERTON are following highlyrated Hamilton Accies centre-back Jamie Hamilton. The Goodison Park club are keen to bolster their options in defence and they have identified the stylish Accies teenager as one for the future. The 17-year-old shot to prominence last season while playing for Scotland Under-17s and in the UEFA Youth League for his club. He was quickly promoted to Hamilton’s first-team squad under Brian Rice and made his Premiership debut last month — only to be sent off for handball in a 3-1 defeat to Motherwell. Hamilton was also called up to Scotland’s Under-19s squad as he continues to impress coaching staff for both club and country. Wolves, Norwich City, Southampton and Derby County have also checked on the youngster’s progress but Everton are understood to be pondering a bid in January to see off competition for the talented youngster.
