70 posts at wind turbine firm face axe
A FIRM which make towers for wind turbines is to cut up to three-quarters of its workforce, despite pre-tax profits of £7.1million last year.
CS Wind, based near Campbeltown, Argyll, has said up to 73 of its 94 staff could go. It blamed challenging market conditions and difficulties with supply companies.
Energy Minister Paul Wheelhouse said he had ‘committed to do all we can to support the company in their attempts to secure future work for the site’.
