DOUBLE DUCHESS!

Creating a sensation, lookalike who shares the Markle sparkle

- By David Wilkes

WITH her sophisticated style and instantly recognisable looks, she turns heads wherever goes.

But there’s no need to curtsy – the woman on the left in each of these pairs of photographs is not the Duchess of Sussex. Sarah Mhlanga, from Manchester, has forged a career as the UK’s foremost Meghan Markle lookalike.

performing arts school. She says her dress sense is similar to Meghan’s – ‘sophisticated and smart’ but instead of splashing out on designer outfits, she buys similar clothes on the high street.

‘I couldn’t afford to keep buying different outfits for £2,000 apiece,’ she said.

Mrs Mhlanga and her mother were among 1,200 guests invited to watch Harry and Meghan arrive for their wedding at Windsor Castle.

‘I didn’t meet Meghan but at one point I was about a metre from her,’ she said. Mrs Mhlanga finds it strange to be asked for her autograph as ‘people must realise that I’m not really Meghan’. And one man asked her to pose with his two young daughters for a photograph. ‘His wife was convinced the photo was Meghan – so she framed it,’ she said.
