Jack set to check in at Easter Road
JACK ROSS is set to be confirmed as the new head coach of Hibernian after winning the race to succeed Paul Heckingbottom.
Sportsmail understands that the former St Mirren and Sunderland boss has agreed to take the reins at Easter Road, with an official announcement expected within the next 24 hours.
Raul Caneda Perez, Daniel Stendel, Nathan Jones, and Harry Kewell were all linked with the job, but Ross quickly emerged as the top candidate after impressing at interview.
Celtic coach John Kennedy was also a name of interest to the Leith club’s board but he was never formally approached.
Barring any last-minute hitches, 43-year-old Ross — who was also linked with the vacant Hearts job — will make his bow for Hibs at home to Motherwell next Saturday, before a return to Paisley to face
