Mullins lining up Kemboy for December comeback

Scottish Daily Mail - - Tennis -

CHELTENHAM Gold Cup favourite Kemboy could be racing again by the new year, according to one of the men hoping to sort out the dispute over his ownership. The Savills Chase at Leopardstown on December 28 is being lined up for Kemboy’s comeback. The Willie Mullinstrained chaser is one of the horses that carried the colours of the Supreme Racing Club. They are currently barred from racing in a dispute concerning over-selling of shares. Horse Racing Ireland have voided all registrations of the Supreme Racing Club and its shareholders are now trying to thrash out an agreement to get the 29 horses that ran in Supreme colours racing again. US businessman Brett Graham, who claims he has provided proof to HRI of his 40-per-cent stake in Kemboy, said he hoped ex-Supreme horses could even be re-registered this week. Graham said: ‘We were ready to roll before HRI made their announcement and now we are in full implementation mode as far as re-registering the horses, starting with Kemboy. ‘Willie is looking at all the horses and the entry calendar.’
