SHe somehow manages to start the day with a smile when she wakes the nation on Good Morning Britain.

But Kate Garraway swapped her grin for grimaces as she screamed her way through the first bushtucker trial of this year’s I’m A celebrity...Get Me out of Here last night.

The presenter, 52, was confined to a insect-infested perspex box while suspended 60ft above an Australian lake.

She screeched as cockroaches, crickets, mealworms and rats were poured into her confined space in the ‘Bugged off’ trial.

The mother of two was joined by former olympian turned reality television star caitlyn Jenner. But while the 70-year-old American barely seemed bothered by their ordeal, Miss Garraway could be heard screaming: ‘I don’t know what to do – I can’t think!’

During the trial both women had to drop balls into a moving basket below. They both released two, earning four meals for their celebrity campmates.

Sunday night’s ITV launch programme was seen by 9.7million viewers – down more than a million compared to 2018’s opening show – as Ant Mcpartlin reunited with co-host Declan Donnelly after the former’s drink-drive conviction hiatus.

Meanwhile, following a backlash by animal rights groups, producers have stopped campmates eating live bugs during their challenges.
