EASY FAMILY PANCAKES

IF YOU’RE fond of pancakes, there’s no reason you shouldn’t have them as often as you like! They’re very easy to make with dried eggs, for you simply mix the dry egg powder with the flour and your batter is ready in no time. Just one reminder: do be sure to get all the lumps out of the egg powder first. ingredient­s: to make six pancakes you need: 4oz plain flour; 1 level tablespoon dried egg: ½ level teaspoon salt; ½ pint of milk, or milk and water. MetHOd: Mix dry ingredient­s together, then add sufficient liquid to make a stiff mixture. Beat well, add rest of liquid and beat again. Grease your frying-pan and pour in a thin layer of batter. Turn it as soon as the underside is browned. Serve with sugar and lemon juice or jam. Follow these directions and you’ll have pancakes that melt in the mouth! Dried eggs have the same food value as shell eggs, you know. Perfect for omelettes and scrambled eggs. A pack of 12 costs 1/3.
