Back to the future

I DON’T agree with the many commentators who say we shouldn’t expect to go back to normal life after the pandemic. I would like things to be just the way they were. Full employment, budget air fares making trips affordable, holidays without quarantine, meals out, drinks in the pub, sporting events, no queues and all the shops open.

The lockdown is giving us a taste of the misery the eco-extremists would like to impose on the world, despite the economic ruin this would inflict.
