On the wrong path

-

IN my youth, I use to cycle 40 miles a day to and from work but today’s roads are a disgrace — not fit for cars and even worse for cyclists.

Cycling on pavements must become a way of life as it is in many parts of Europe. Pavements must be widened and cycle lanes at the sides of roads along the main drainage areas dispensed with and we must get rid of bus lanes.

Get wise, we are more than 60 years behind the rest of Europe in providing proper cycle paths or lanes.
