Corrie’s lost the plot

AFTER murder, cancer, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, bigamy and homelessness, we are to be treated to the effects of racism in ITV’s Coronation Street (Mail). I used to love Corrie for its light-hearted storylines and a sprinkling of scandal, but it seems that the writers and producers are determined to give us another dose of misery and gritty realism.
