Patterson promotion

FORMeR BT boss Gavin Patterson has been handed another promotion at US software giant Salesforce.

The 52-year-old, who left BT last year, will now become president and chief revenue officer.

he had been president and chief executive of Salesforce International, and before that was chairman of european, Middle east and

African operations. his new role is to lead the US firm’s global sales team, reporting to chairman and chief executive Marc Benioff.

Patterson took over at BT in 2013 but was sacked by chairman Jan du Plessis after shares plummeted.

he faced criticism over customer service and a lack of investment in Britain’s broadband network.
