Livingston lamenting a ‘lack of trust’
LIVINGSTON have gone public with their reasons for voting in favour of an independent investigation into the SPFL’s handling of the seasonending resolution. The west Lothian club, who joined fellow Premiership sides Rangers, Aberdeen and Hearts in trying to push the proposal through, yesterday claimed they were motivated by the lack of trust surrounding last month’s messy ballot. A statement penned by chief executive John Ward and assistant manager David Martindale read: ‘This has mainly stemmed from trust issues that have arisen and grown since the “missing” Dundee vote. ‘We feel an investigation would have been the first hurdle in a process that would hopefully bring everyone back on the same page.’
