Having spent the past 20 years guiding her two sons to Wimbledon glory, she’s had little time to find a match of her own.

But Judy Murray has revealed that she would still like to meet the ‘right partner’ because it is ‘never too late to fall in love’.

The 60-year-old, who is the mother of Scots tennis stars Jamie, 34, and 33-year-old Sir andy, said she has got used to doing things on her own but she wouldn’t ‘rule out a relationship’.

She told the June issue of Saga magazine: ‘if the right partner came

along, then yes. However, i have got quite used to doing my own thing nowadays, so it might not be that easy. Being able to get up and go, and do whatever i want, whenever i want, without having to worry about anyone else has its benefits.

‘But if i met the right person i wouldn’t rule out a relationship. it’s never too late to fall in love.’

Mrs Murray, from Dunblane, Perthshire, divorced her husband of 25 years William in 2005.

Having briefly played on the professional tennis circuit in the 1970s, she was both her sons’ initial coach.

Sir andy became Wimbledon singles champion in 2013 and 2016, while Jamie won the mixed doubles title in 2007 and 2017.

The mother-of-two, who also competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014, said that turning 60 last September affected her more than she expected. She said: ‘i never thought it would matter that much to me... Realising you are coming into the last phase of your life is quite scary. Turning 60 made me think about what i still want to achieve and do.’
