Charles calls for green recovery
PRINCE Charles is set to launch a ‘Great Reset’ project that will see him co-host an event with World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab to encourage an eco-friendly recovery from Covid-19.
Last week it was revealed the coronavirus crisis had caused a 17 per cent drop in global emissions. Prince Charles will address world leaders in an online event on June 3 asking them to maintain these levels after the pandemic.
The project will build on the ‘sustainable markets initiative’ launched by the Prince in Davos in January, designed to accelerate decarbonisation.
A Sustainable Markets Initiative spokesman said: ‘This group is setting out to show we have a chance to recover by doing things differently and with a lot less negative impact on the world we live in.’
