BRITAIN’S UNSUNG HEROES, 9PM, CH4

THIS film celebrates the vital workers — away from the NHS front line — who are helping to keep Britain running during the coronavirus crisis. Rubbish is still collected, cleaners keep bacteria at bay, buses and trains carry key workers to hospitals and care homes, while supermarket workers and distribution staff keep us fed and watered, and teachers provide remote lessons and support. Without their efforts and the risks they take, Britain would grind to a halt. Here, we follow a few of these often undervalued heroes (including Jade, Ricky and Pete, pictured) as they keep calm and carry on.
