Should we have immunity passports?

-

IF THERE are going to be corona immunity passports (Mail), I wonder why I bothered to obey the lockdown regulations. If I had caught coronavirus, assuming I lived to tell the tale, I would have the antibodies that could get me a corona passport to allow me to go abroad and not have to quarantine on return. Not having caught it appears to be a punishment.

RICHARD BERRY, Kirkham, Lancs.

WHERE is the sense in allowing people who have had the virus to travel abroad? We still have no medical evidence that contracting coronavirus makes you immune for life. How would I know if I’ve had it, when only essential workers and those exhibiting symptoms can be tested? Will that mean I can never again go on holiday?

L. A. GADSBY, Truro, Cornwall.

THE proposal to have immunity passports is blatantly health apartheid. Such a policy will reward those who became infected and penalise those who have followed the rules, such as my family, who have all stayed at their respective homes and have not met since early March. It seems that the only answer is to take our chances, catch Covid-19 and then we will be allowed to travel again.
