MOTHERWELL SHOCK OVER DEATH OF MBULU

MOTHERWELL last night expressed shock following the death of former defender Christian Mbulu. The 23-year-old Englishman spent one season with the Steelmen after joining from Millwall in 2018. Leaving last summer to join Crewe Alexandra, he then moved on to join Morecambe before the season was cut short by coronavirus. A Motherwell statement read last night: ‘We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Christian Mbulu.’ Chairman Jim McMahon said: ‘He was such a friendly, pleasant young man who we loved having around Fir Park. ‘Our thoughts are with his family during this incredibly difficult time.’
