PLATI BEACH LEMNOS, GREECE Justin Stanton, Sales & Marketing Director, Mark Warner

A photo of this picturesque bay, with Plati Beach in the background, is on the wall of my home office. I start daydreaming whenever I look at it.

I imagine I am sitting at the beach bar at our gorgeous Mark Warner’s Lemnos Beach Resort, staring across the calm waters at the waterskiers and windsurfers while enjoying a chilled glass of wine as the sun slowly sets.

MILOS GREECE Carl Catterall, Head of Marketing & PR, Olympic Holidays

I’d always wanted to visit Milos, a small volcanic island in the Cyclades. It was where the Venus de Milo statue, often referred to as Aphrodite, was discovered in 1820. Today, laid-back fishermen tell tall stories of the lovers of Milos over a glass of ouzo.

Meandering along pathways created by donkeys, I came across the capital Plaka, shimmering in the sun. I can now close my eyes, listen for the waves, feel the salty breeze in my hair and the sun’s warmth on my skin.

APHRODITE’S ROCK CYPRUS Geraldine Stimson, Managing Director, Mercury Holidays

This picture for me sums up not only the stunning beaches and sparkling waters that we all crave right now, but reminds me that Cyprus is far more than meets the eye.

Legend has it that Aphrodite emerged from the water here, having been created from the foam of the sea, thus naming Old Paphos her spiritual home, and is just one of ways the island’s rich cultural history is interwoven into its every corner.

PAPHOS HARBOUR AND CASTLE CYPRUS Zoe Towers, Head of Product, Jet2holidays

One of our team took this incredible picture during golden hour at Paphos Harbour in Cyprus. As the sun slides towards the horizon, the outline of Paphos Castle always looks so imposing, and it’s a magnificent sight.

This picture reminds me of happy, sunny evenings in Cyprus, one of my favourite places in the world.

Every time I look at this picture, I can almost feel myself in one of the traditional cafés or restaurants along the pretty harbour front, soaking up the atmosphere with a drink and a traditional Cypriot dish such as kleftiko. Bliss.
