HEAD FOR THE HILLS
DJ Calvin sells £4.2m Hollywood mansion
But Calvin Harris is now selling one of the most impressive – his £4.2million home in the Hollywood hills.
The Dumfries-born DJ has put his 6,000sq ft home in the Los Angeles neighbourhood on the market for $5.5million.
The 36-year-old bought the sprawling property a little over two years ago from DJ and record producer Steve Angello for just over £3.85million ($5million).
He attempted to unload the home last year for £4.4million ($5.75million) and also rented out the house at the time for £19,200 ($25,000) a month, before dropping it to just below £15,400 ($20,000).
The hillside mansion features several wings with four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half bathrooms.
Nestled high above the street, the private spot offers unlimited natural lighting with floor-to-ceiling windows.
It comes with a double-height living room, a cosy den with a cushioned banquette and an eat-in kitchen that opens up to the pool. A two-storey master suite features a sitting room on the ground level, which also spills out to the pool. There is also a guest house which has a double-height bedroom, private decks and a spacious walk-in closet converted into a music lounge.
Harris – real name Adam Wiles – has built up an impressive portfolio in the Los Angeles area, spending £11.6million ($15million) on a Beverly Hills compound in 2014, before snatching up a £10.8million ($14million) Bel Air property in 2018.
He is one of the highest-earning DJs in the world, raking in £29.7million ($38.5million) last year, according to Forbes.
The Grammy-winner has had ten UK no 1 hits, including Promises and One Kiss. HE earned almost £30million last year and has an impressive portfolio of properties to his name.
