WHAT THE LATEST MEASURES MEAN FOR YOU
■ New rules will mean all social meetings will be restricted to a maximum of six people from no more than two households.
■ This applies to all locations, including people’s homes, gardens, parks, pubs and restaurants.
■ Children under 12 who are part of one of the two households do not count towards the six.
Exceptions include organised sport, gyms, childcare venues and places of worship.
■ The cap of six people from a maximum of two households will also apply to those meeting in hospitality venues.
■ Customers need to wear face coverings when entering, exiting or moving around premises.
■ All staff will need to wear face coverings.
■ Anyone breaching the rules will face fines starting at £30 rising to £60.
■ Test sports events – with up to 300 fans – will go ahead this weekend.
■ Indoor sports courts will now not resume for at least another three weeks.
■ Indoor events, live music and theatre will not reopen until October 5 at the earliest.
■ The number of people who can attend funeral wakes and wedding receptions will now rise to 20 – compared to eight previously.
