Out Of The Mouths Of Babes
ON A caravan holiday to Castleton, Derbyshire, with five-year-old Emma and nineyear-old James, we decided to climb a local mountain, Benson Knott, which is just over 1,000 ft high. We all made it to the top and examined the Ordnance Survey triangulation station. Halfway down, Emma put her hand underneath her nose, saying: ‘My little legs are tired right up to here.’ I ended up carrying her the rest of the way down.
